November always sneaks up on us — one day we’re designing summer campaigns, the next we’re debating whether pumpkin spice counts as a food group. But amidst the seasonal chaos, it’s the perfect time to pause, look around, and reflect on what we’re truly thankful for.
At Kudu, gratitude isn’t just a November mood; it’s the quiet driver behind everything we do. From brainstorms to brand launches, every project is a reminder of how lucky we are to do creative work with purpose — and with people we genuinely enjoy.
So, in the spirit of the season, here’s a look at what each member of our herd is thankful for this year.
Sarah — Owner & Creative Director
Sarah is thankful for curiosity — that spark that makes every project feel new, no matter how many years she’s been in the game. She thrives on uncovering what makes a brand tick and turning it into something beautiful, bold, and human. Whether it’s shaping a full-scale rebrand or fine-tuning a tagline until it sings, Sarah’s happiest when she’s connecting creativity with strategy.
She’s also thankful for her team — the people who can take an idea that starts as “hear me out…” and turn it into something that stops people mid-scroll. And of course, she’s thankful for the trust of clients who allow Kudu to explore, experiment, and occasionally color outside the lines.
Oh, and coffee. Always coffee. The kind that makes Monday mornings feel possible, fuels brainstorming marathons and every “aha!” moment around here— because even great ideas need liquid courage.
Amanda — Art Director & Graphic Designer
Amanda is thankful for the messy middle — that point in the creative process when things look chaotic but the magic is starting to take shape. She loves the challenge of transforming a jumble of ideas into visuals that feel intentional, emotional, and distinct. To her, design is equal parts intuition and problem-solving — the art of making meaning out of mayhem.
She’s also thankful for collaboration — the energy that comes from working with people who see design not just as decoration, but as communication. Every brainstorm, critique, and last-minute layout tweak fuels her drive to make things better (and maybe sneak in one more version “just to see”).
She’s endlessly thankful for the “undo” button — and for the good playlists that keep the creative juices flowing.
Jo — Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer
Jo is thankful for stories — the kind that connect brands to people in authentic, surprising ways. She believes social media should be more than a megaphone; it’s a conversation, a stage, a shared experience. She’s the voice behind the captions that make people laugh, think, or double-tap in agreement, and she approaches every post like a mini storytelling opportunity.
She’s also thankful for the blend of strategy and spontaneity that makes her role exciting. One moment she’s planning a month’s worth of content calendars; the next, she’s designing something that takes off organically because it just works. And when it all comes together — when a post resonates, sparks engagement, or builds community — that’s when she knows the message hit home.
Plus, she’s very thankful for strong Wi-Fi, thriving office plants, and the mute button on notifications.
Stella — Office Dog & Employee + Client Satisfaction
Stella is thankful for many things: naps in sunny spots, long walks after long meetings, and anyone who keeps treats in their pocket. She’s the heartbeat of the office — a professional greeter, emotional support system, and unlicensed therapist who takes her job very seriously.
Whether she’s keeping morale high, offering stress relief in the form of tail wags, or supervising brainstorming sessions (from under the table, naturally), Stella ensures everyone stays grounded and smiling. She’s the best reminder that joy and balance are just as important as deadlines and design briefs.
All of Us — The Kudu Team
When we take a step back, what we’re most thankful for isn’t just the work — it’s the people who make it possible. Our clients who trust us to tell their stories. Our community who continues to support us, and the creative challenges that push us to grow, adapt, and imagine something new. Simply put, we’re thankful for the people who make creativity possible — you challenge us, trust us, and inspire us every single day. Whether it’s a brand launch, a design sprint, or a brainstorm that turns into something unexpected, we’re grateful to be part of your story.
As we head into the season of giving, we’re reminded that good design, much like gratitude, is about connection. We’ll keep doing what we do best — creating with heart, purpose, and a little bit of wit (okay, sometimes a lot).
From all of us at Kudu — thank you for believing in us, collaborating with us, and for being part of our herd.
Here’s to another season of creativity, curiosity, and community.
